Handcarved and handpainted wooden heart from Oaxaca is at the center, with drops on either side made of a felt sphere from India and a metal-foil embellished glass heart from Mexico City. On the outside are bead-embellished cloth hearts from the Basilica of the Virgen de Soledad in Oaxaca. (I added the beads.) The cord is a combination of Indian recycled sari silk yarn and other colored yarns. Closure is crafted from a textile loop and a Chinese glass bead with dangles of various glass and straw beads.
