This skillfully machine-embroidered and hand-woven one-of-a-kind poncho is from Chiapas. Views of the front and back are shown here. Gorgeous handmade tassels adorn these spectacular pieces! 25” wide X 25 1/4” long plus 3” fringe. Tassels plus cord are each about 16” long. The warp-faced fabric was woven on a treadle loom. The fabric is cotton with some metallics, embroidery thread appears to be a mixture of rayon, cotton and metallics, and the tassles and cord are synthetic.
