This huipile is one of the older red Santa Catarina Palopo huipiles. On the shores of Lake Atitlan, this village changed its traditional huiple color from red to blue quite a few years ago. Red ones are vintage pieces and are harder to find. This one is bright red . The decorative woven rows have some very pretty birds and plants in the design. The condition is very good, with just a little wear on the neckline. It is 33”W X 29” Long.
