This necklace is a combination of some very special components from India. The finely handpainted elephant pendant (1 1/4” dia.) is set in silver and glass and is embossed on the back. The needlework was on a larger piece of Indian needlework that I found and decided to make into a necklace. The larger glass beads are about 40 years old and are also from India. The necklace has a loop closure that fastens with a handcarved bone “cylinder” and is ornamented with seed beeds. Necklace is 21 1/2” long. The piece has a very east Indian feel!
